Parvathy Thiruvothu is an Indian film actress who appears predominantly in Malayalam films in addition to a few Tamil, Kannada films and a Hindi film. She made her debut in the 2006 Malayalam film Out of Syllabus. She won many Filmfare Awards during her stint as an actress.

Film Debut

In 2006, Parvathy made her acting debut in the Malayalam film Out of Syllabus, portraying a supporting role as a college student.

In 2007, Parvathy first lead role in Kannada came with the film Milana alongside Puneet Rajkumar which went on to become a commercial success.

In 2008, Parvathy starred in a lead role in Sasi’s Poo alongside Srikanth, portraying the role of a young Tamil village girl named Maari. This film marked her debut in Tamil.

In her Facebook post on 23 December 2015, Parvathy responded after being trolled and abused on social media due to the surname Menon, which was added to her name in the media. In the Facebook post, she clarified about her surname and said that the journalists added the Menon as they didn’t bother to ask her for it.
