Finally, it appears boxing fans are edging closer to the long-awaited all-Brit fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, with AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn revealing the fight a ‘done deal’ earlier in the week. As of today, no location or date has yet been disclosed for the world unification heavyweight clash, but the fight has indeed separated so many boxing greats.

While some feel Fury will knock Jushua out early in the fight, others believe Joshua’s mental toughness will see him through. On his way to recovery, Tyson Fury raised few eyebrows when sacked Ben Davison – his former trainer, prior to his rematch with American fighter Deontay Wilder in 2020.

Ben Davison was the trainer that the Brit credited for helping him conquer depression, shed more than nine stone as he prepared for his comeback fight in mid-2018. Since the 2018 comeback, Davison had cornered Tyson Fury in every match. However, Fury opted to part ways with him and hire trainer SugarHill Steward. Many believed the surprise switch proved pivotal in helping Tyson Fury claim the WBC crown from Wilder, and will also play a major role in helping him become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

The seventh-round TKO win over Wilder saw Tyson Fury claim the WBC heavyweight title, setting him firmly on a collision course with countryman Anthony Joshua, holder of the IBF, WBA, and WBO belts. Fury’s greatness on that night last February in Vegas must have given him the confidence to deliver a stern warning that he will knock out Anthony Joshua inside just three rounds as both camp’s negotiations for their dream fight intensify, with boxing sites already preparing the best odds for the fans looking to cash out for the game. Fury’s threat to Joshua came 24 hours after his biggest obstacle in agreeing on the big undisputed heavyweight title bout drew closer to being solved.

The status of Oleksandr Usyk as WBO mandatory challenger to the title held by Anthony Joshua was a major issue but the WBO governing body has now been talking with Ukrainian Usyk. Usyk’s promoter told Sky Sports” We received the letter from WBO saying that they are considering granting sanction for AJ vs Fury.”

The Ukrainian is in talks to face Joe Joyce in an interim WBO title fight allowing Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury bout take place next with every major heavyweight division belt at stake.

Anthony Joshua’s ninth-round KO win over Kubrat Pulev last month instantly sparked renewed hope in his fans that AJ can defeat Fury if the boxer gets his strategy right. If AJ can exhibit the aggression he showed in the Kubrat Pulev bout, he has a chance, he could stop him, but if he doesn’t knock him out early enough he might lose on points.

On the day, every world heavyweight title would be on the line for the clash, with heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua taking on WBC holder Fury, and a much-anticipated scrap would see AJ and Fury bank £100 million each.

A split of 50-50 will be in place for the first fight and a possible 60-40 split weighted in favor of whosoever wins the second fight.

With the financial terms already met, according to reports, Joshua vs Fury will definitely happen to grace our screens in 2021.
